MIG 21 F 7 Nose Radome

Actually, Sistema Compositi products aeronautical radomes through prepreg lay-up; moreover a process development to make a high quality products using the R.T.M. technology (resin transfer molding) has been studied.
Project requirements for MIG21 airplane radome are:

- radar transparency;
- defence from rain-erosion;
- antistatic covering;
- mechanical stability;
- limited weight.

Sistema Compositi is the main supplier of AGUSTA Helicopters about aeronautical products.

FLECS Project (Alcatel Alenia Space Italy)


Scopes of Flecs project are the realization of prototype inflatable flight module, and the development of a protection system tailored to a MPLM mission with possibility of scaling up for future manned modules for long time space missions.
Inflatable MMOD Shield system is based on some concepts:

. Multy layers shield system derived;
. Multi-shock shield concept;
. Ultra-thin spaced bumper elements to constrain MMOD;
. Ballistic high-performance.



VITAS Project (C.I.RA. And PIAGGIO AERO INDUSTRIES)


In this project Sistema Compositi is responsable for design, engineering and manufacturing of prototypical composite structural demonstrators for an integrated aileron and a trussed panel.

The details of the plan provide the production of:

- 3 integrated ailerons by R.T.M. technology (resin transfer moulding);
- 6 trussed panels by L.I. technology (Liquid Infusion).
