The AP 98 Body Armour has been designed according to Italian Army specifications to protect combat troops against fragments and pistol bullets. With add-on polyethylene plates (figure on the left) the protection level can be upgraded to take rifle bullets, including 7.62x39 MSC. The vest is composed by a water and fire-proof HT polyamide envelope and a ballistic filler extended to front, back and low abdomen. Velcro tapes make it easy to wear and to adjust the vest for individual fitting. The AP 98 Body Armour is produced in two sizes: medium (48 e 50 Italian sizes) and large (52,54 and 56).
